Were these fender indicators only on the Italy/Norway/Denmark versions, or the rest of the world as well? |

Until 1971 all French built R4s had a parking light on this spot. Early Italian built R4s (1962-1964) had the repeater further to the front, very late R4s sold in Italy had rhomb-shaped repeaters on the same spot as we see here. Sliding windows in the rear doors came in 1966. During 1967-1973 there was a 'Renault 4'-badge on the right front fender. So I'd say this is a 1974+ R4 Export, made for I by the repeater (that was gone by then on other markets). |
