Is this a genuine Aspen, Colorado, police car? I've heard the police there used to use Saabs. Was this movie filmed in the US? EDIT: The logo at least looks similar: Link to "www.saabhistory.com" EDIT: Hmmm, it may not be genuine. No, it is not genuine, Aspen never used the new 9-3 or new body series 900 at all. Aspen moved from the 99 in 1980 to the 900, then to the 9000 in 1991, then the 9-5 in 1999. The lightbar is also wrong for an Aspen police car at the time, as it should be an Code 3 MX7000 in that age, not the Federal TwinSonic which is on this car. Interestingly though, the door decal on the car appears to be correct for period in town, so I wonder how they got that. |
