I don't know the mechanical base, but the body panels of the front look like a 1949+ Plymouth. Did they use a shortened chassis? |

Definitely shortened; before VW-based dune buggies caught on, they were made from shortened car chassis (sometimes with no or minimal bodywork, like the cut-down Plymouth in Eegah!). This car was most likely a '49 or '50 Dodge convertible; can someone post a screenshot that shows the dashboard to identify it?
