It looks to be at least a 1995. Instead of the shelf on the passenger side of the dashboard it is almost flush with the driver side which would indicate to me that it has a passenger airbag, which was added in 1995. |

You sir, have some killer observation skills. Didn't these also keep the motorized seatbelts until the end of the generation, even though they had airbags in the last couple years?  |

Yes, oddly, airbags and motorized selt belts shared space in some vehicles like the Dodge Shadow. |

I used to own a 1996 Escort and hated those belts. Matter of fact the motor in the driver side belt died... luckily it died in the right spot so I could still buckle up. |
