1999-2002 Ford Expedition XLT Gen 1 (UN93) I can’t tell if the rear trailer hitch is Class I, Class II, Class III or Class IV because it is aftermarket. It looks like a Class III at best. Currently the only hitch available on an Expedition is Class IV, because I, II, and III are not tough enough to approach the vehicle’s towing capabilities. The lesser hitches also do not allow for weigh distribution towing. Also, because it did not come with the trailer preparation package, it will not have the additional features and upgrades necessary for towing heavy trailers. This owner probably has a small light trailer, so this aftermarket hitch may suit his/her needs just fine. |
