Main replaced. Rear badge on left looks like word starting with S but impossible to read properly.

On an X100 Mark II it's either Grande or Tourer. I think the G of Grande is close to an S when written in that style.

What's the difference for Mark II between [X100] and [GX100]?? We have both.

X100 is the basic chassis code. Then Toyota puts one or two prefix letters for the engine used in the car. If it's a 2.0 litre 1G-FE, the chassis code is GX100. If it's a 2.5 litre 1JZ-GE or a 3.0 litre 2JZ-GE, then the chassis code is JZX100.

IMHO, unless someone is absolutely sure of the engine capacity of a Mark II (or Cresta or Chaser), we'd better use the standard X100 code.

Thanks. Have switched the 3 [GX100] Mark II to [X100] as none had clues for engine. Too scared to touch any [JZX100] ....

Following how we list the Land Cruisers, we should maybe use only X100 as generic code?

I can't answer that one. Needs a Toyotologist to comment ....
