Anyone can tell replica or authentic? In a film with dangerous stands taking place, a replica should be mandatory.. |

Due the fact, that there are many more replicas on the road than original cars, I agree, that it's a fake. |

Personally I'd prefer the authentic guy, not the replica car ![]() |

Here it was just used as background scenery, but it is indeed most likely a replica. |

The back fender flares look like a replica/kit car. Originals looked different. |

He's just a fake, too, not a real racing driver. ![]() It's a movie made for TV, not a documentary, so surely (hopefully!) they didn't gave these young good looking, but stupid boys real classic cars for that. So that there will be no scenery, I've seen in 1996 at the classic car race "Eifel Klassik" on the Nürburgring (@walter: due my membership in a NSU-Club I got a VIP-ticket from Audi. ![]() In the last race, reserved for classic pre-1955-formula cars, there was a rich guy (all owners of these cars are rich), who let his son, ca.19-20 years old, drive a round. Bad idea: it was rainy, getting dark and it was on the most dangerous legendary "Nordschleife", the Northern circuit of the "Ring". The result was, that this young, inexperienced boy has smashed the car - a 1948 "Veritas", based on the chassis of a BMW 327. ![]() |
