For some reason, I keep thinking Allis-Chalmers. Must be the fact that it's orange.

No idea. I just saw that it was Orange, and A-C was the first brand I thought of. I have no idea of how Kubotas looked in the 1960's.

Slightly off-topic, but did anyone see this show? Why does it look like it's in a high-speed camera rig for a crash test? Are they about to fire a car into it or something?

Thats wxactly what was happening. They were investigating the effect of lowering the Nationaly british speed limit from 60 to 50mph and how that would affect you in the country if you somehow happened to crash into a piece of farming equipment; in this case a tractor.

Engine cowl looks like David Brown to me. Compare it with this David Brown 850...

The wheels in the main picture appear to have been fitted with the offset the wrong way around to increase the front and rear tracks.
