Mentioned like that by Snookie. I'm not sure it's an official terminology, but I've heard about this "nickname" already (but I cannot remember what for)... |

That's why I asked, I guess it is a nickname and not part of the official name (though it was used as a name, long time ago: remember the "Bébé Peugeot" ) -- Last edit: 2006-02-27 21:56:10 |

Maybe, but it is still a 1985 model year car - the Ford logo moved to the centre of the grille for 1985. This must be an early 1985 model year car, built at the end of 1984, and is brand new. |

"baby" means that its like a smaller version of the LTD Crown Victoria. This makes sense because the original name for this car was LTD II. It's just a nickname. |

So LTD II, and not only LTD? |
◊ 2006-10-09 17:29 |
Yes |
◊ 2006-10-09 17:56 |
But Ford sold this car as the LTD, not the LTD II |

I am lost |
◊ 2006-10-09 18:26 |
Ive always known it as the LTD II, |

The ones I have seen were always badged as simply LTD. Before that they were the Fairmont and Futura |

This is a Ford LTD. After the begin of sales of this car, the "big" LTD as renamed as "LTD CROWN VICTORIA". |

I think they meant that these 'baby' Ford LTD are for the Ford [Fox] plaform version. |
