The only car in the whole movie, and only visible 2 seconds |

I'm going to guess a Model A. Maybe even a Model B. |

Hard to say with it being customized, probably an "A", but could be a "T". Would have to be an early "A" or older; this is a touring sedan (a four door convertible) and I believe '29 was the last year for them. |

I just watched this movie and it looked like a Model A to me. |

This is a Ford Model "T", as can be seen by the distinctive radiator grille and the fenders, which are flatter than a Model "A" and have an outline design scribed into the metal (check the back of the right fender in the photo above, you can see the scribe line.) It is a touring model, probably 1926 or 1927, seen by the long four door body. You can see the car clearly from different angles in the long scene where Frankie and Annette are driving to the beach house, singing a song. Then they drive along the beach, jouncing the surfboards in back. After a little research I believe that it was built by noted "T" customizer Li'l John Buttera. |

It was my Dad's car, Monte Lee Osborn, and he built it himself. He was born in Burbank, CA in 1941, was at the time of his induction the youngest member of the L.A. Roadster Club at 22, has won 1st prize at the roadster show in Oakland, is a 200 MPH Club member at both El Mirage and Bonneville, and still builds rods to this day. He and I race at Bonneville and El Mirage...we set 17 records in 16 classes in 3 years. Footage of Speedweek where we set 5 records in 6 days: http://vimeo.com/41735347 |

I'm pretty sure this car is used in the beginning of the movie where they sing the song "beach party tonight", and it should be more than one star. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbq_aVG7DCk |
