Right. I thought it was since the 3rd one. By the way I found that in Mexico the first generation was called "Caribe". Since it was the first "Golf" in the USA, they do not call it "Golf 2" I guess. The A2 series Golf (USA '85-'92) was always called the VW 'Golf' in USA. Early A3 series Golfs ('93-'98) where called 'Golf III' but eventually they reverted to just 'Golf'.. A4 series always called Golf only as well. |
