Oh, thats a one sucky end to GTi. I did bought similar car like that; 5-doors, torch-red, six-speed manual with Scottish upholstery. What a nice car when driving at dry roads, but totally useless in rainy days. Wheelspin in 3th gear when ASR/ESP switched of, maybe fun with RWD but just slow when driving FWD. I got my ass kicked by some Mercedes E220CDi stw in traffic-light drag race, just because there was no traction at all under my Golf's front tires. Luckily I got a very nice deal from local dealer, and I was able to change to Passat V6 4motion. No more E220CDi's overtaking me, I guarantee you that. |
