Any chance to get better picture of front view for this Simca? ..because it might be a P60 "Bacalan" , pre-serie produced at 700 units never sold in France and western Europe. Simca stored these in Bordeaux for a while(Bacalan is a district of Bordeaux near the harbour on the Garonne river), then had a deal with eastern countries for disposing of these unwanted cars. -- Last edit: 2009-03-31 21:33:51 |

In this picure: http://www.foro.pieldetoro.net/foros/showthread.php?t=37700 the Bacalan does not have any side trim, whereas the Simca shown above seems to have the single curved side deco of the 1960 (only) Etoile... |

Yes, I hadn't a good picture of a " bacalan" , and indeed you're right, these pre-series P60 had a very basic trim level, with no chromes on sides. So agreed==> an Etoile Six |
