to be more precise this is the face lift celica type TA23 built between 74 and 77 to be recognized by the longer front with straight vertical shape (see the vertical blinkers etc...) It also had a bump in the hood which the first ta22 did not have. The first version was the ta22 with a more diagonnally sloped shape at front, more like a sharp knife. This one has a flat front. |

This scene was the reenactment of the murders of Douglas and Isabel Wilson, two drug couriers who worked for the "Mr. Asia" Syndicate, who were shot by the same hitman who killed Don Mackay; James Fredrick Bazley at a motel in Victoria on the night of the 13th April 1979. What led to the Wilsons murders was in late 1978, Terry Clark (using the name of Queensland Premier at the time; Joh Bjelke-Petersen MP) along with the Wilsons were staying at a Gold Coast hotel when police had arrested them with heroin in their possession. After their arrest, Doug Wilson had told detectives from the Queensland Police Service about Terry Clark's drug operation and the tape recording of the interview was then turned over to the Federal Narcotics Bureau and the officers within the FNB who were on Clark's payroll then turn the tape over Clark. When he heard the tape, he ordered the murders of the Wilsons, so he sent them to the motel in Victoria on a pretense of doing a drug buy from a dealer, when they arrived at the motel, they met Bazley who then shot the couple and buried their bodies. At the time of their murders, the Wilsons had a dog who survived the slaughter and was presumed that Bazley took the dog in. The couple's bodies was found by a man walking his dog on the morning of the 18th May 1979. -- Last edit: 2018-07-02 16:15:57 |
