Ford Crown Victoria Station Wagon, ca. 1980? Or a kind of "Country Squire"? -- Last edit: 2006-02-12 11:44:50 |

This is not a "Country Squire" model of a 1983 Ford Station Wagon. I think that ben68 is probably correct, with it being a Crown Vic Wagon...or maybe it's just a plain LTD wagon. For a pic of an '83 Ford LTD Country Squire Station Wagon (even cream & wood in color)--see "Scarecrow and Mrs. King." There are definite differences in the models! |

It has to be a Country Squire, it has wood trim. The car you are refering to (/vehicle_168739-Ford-LTD-Wagon-1983.html) is on a completely diiferent platform (the mid-size Fox platform) and is of no relation to this car (which is on the full-size Panther platform). You're getting the names confused: this is an "LTD Crown Victoria" while the other car is an "LTD". Similar names, but completely different cars. -- Last edit: 2008-04-18 21:33:47 |

What was its exact name? "LTD Crown Victoria Country Squire" seems quite long... |

That is the exact name, and yes it is quite long. I believe there was a model of Oldsmobile in the 1980s that was even longer, but I can't remember exactly what it was. Something like "Cutlass Supreme Brougham Deluxe LS etc...." |

Ah-ha! I've found it: For the 1985 model year there was an "Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham LS" |

It may be a Country Squire too...but a full sized model. The car in "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" also has wood trim, and I got the model and year info from an actual Ford Year/model/design information book--so I know it's correct in being a "Country Squire" too. So, is this car an "LTD Crown Victoria Country Squire"...or did I misunderstand? Whatever the case, I guess both cars are "Country Squire" models of different Ford Wagons. -- Last edit: 2008-04-19 19:51:16 |
