Purchased brand-new at a Cadillac dealership. It's Navigation system is being used to relay illegal Insider Trading information. Currently, it has no real owner/driver, its being left by itself at inconspicuous areas. The guy with black twisty hair gets in the vehicle, jots down the trading information (which someone enters prior) from the Navigation display, and then exits the vehicle. -- Last edit: 2009-02-28 03:32:50 |

I’m just curious, (I know this might be off topic) but how much jail time would you get if you where charged and convicted for illegal insider trading ? Anyone know ? |

In a federal court, the sentence would be determined by federal sentencing guidelines. Insider trading has an "Offense Level" of 8. It is the highest level in "Zone A" (the lowest zone). For one count, the sentence could range from 0 months to 24 months. The length of the sentence is based on the "Criminal History Category." It is caluculated based on a system of points. The number of points are determined by various aggravating and mitigating factors. For Category I (0-1 point) a sentence would be 0-6 months, a Category VI (13 or more points) would be 18-24 months. However, the insider trading is probably the most minor of the offenses that have been committed by characters on the show. There is also the violation of environmental regulation by UNR. To cover it up, they have falsified documents, lied to the government, and lied in court. |

That stunt UNR pulled in court using Daniel Purcell to disagree with Patty, threw me for a loop. I was shocked, and now Patty is intent on getting even with UNR, and also according to previews of episode 2.09, the FBI as well. Anyway, thanks for the info. |

Patty Hewes had the Escalade Hybrid stolen in Ep. 2.11 and taken to a service mechanic to be stripped down in order to find any evidence she could use against Walter Kendrick (the CEO of UNR) in court. They successfully retrieved the usage history off the vehicle’s Navigation System. -- Last edit: 2009-04-14 04:50:14 |
