There was a Eight, a DeLuxe Eight, a Super Eight or a Custom Eight |

Too little visible for identification. It's not a Custom Eight, that's all I can tell. Just a few frames before: Roof seems taller than usual, perhaps an advertising vehicle or a camera car? I'm settling for Standard Eight as I cannot see any chrome above the doors. -- Last edit: 2026-08-18 09:50:58 |

^ The roof is taller because it and the sides were crushed in by the crane lifting it onto the conveyer belt. Shame to see a Packard like this meet its demise This car was only 26 years old. |

That's already several years above the average life expectancy for most cars, so "only" is a bit exaggerated. |

Cars changed a lot in those 26 years. In 1974 only senior citizens and broke eccentrics still drove Packards. |
