Unknown vehicle role? Here's the answer. It should get four stars or whatever it is for the main star's vehicle. You see this Vic lots. I just saw this movie last Sunday and it was awesome. The first movie ever where the Crown Victoria is not a police car. And, ford_guy, I hate to correct you, but this Crown Victoria is a 2004. It has a honeycomb-style grille. I'm sorry my dear but this is a 1999 model  The honeycomb grill is a replacement. Using honeycomb grills (which actually were first used on 2001 models) as replacements for older models is quite common in movies and tv shows. As for it not being a police car, I'd be willing to bet that it was at one point a police car. I'd have to see better views of the car to confirm this.And there are many Crown Vics listed on the site that are not police cars (whether police-package cars or simply not being used as a police vehicle) .gif ";)") |

I know that in the movie, two different Crown Vics were used (both appear in the same shot when Will Smith's character and his brother meet on the street). From what I can see, the one in the thumbnails appears to be a 2001-2002 model. |

For the most part, yes. I believe that they were also an option for taxis and other fleet-type vehicles. |

You could get them on very basic civilian models as well.... I have a CV sales brochure from 1998. |
