Vanden Plas was just a trim level, no? Model names were various numbers (2000, 3500, ...) or Vitesse. |

Nothing to mark this out as specifically a Vanden Plas? |

Vanden Plas has been a glorious British maker at first but yes in the eighties was a high class trim level for several Leyland/Rover products. At a first sight, this particular example doesn't seem a Vanden Plas SD1 to me. Vanden Plas externaly visible equipment was including: electric sunroof, 4 headrests & leather or velvet upholstery, headlamp washers, aluminium (painted) wheels, chromed tailpipe end and Vanden Plas badging. The only certain thing about this car is that is post 1982, so restyled with new face air grill, bumpers and lower ending rear windshield for better visibility. But I can't see any Vanden Plas features.. -- Last edit: 2009-04-08 12:36:28 |
