@mike962: It seems there were several placings of the indicators and headlights. Because of that I didn't want to say if it was a Series II or not. |

Are you sure it's not a Land Rover 101 Forward Control (101FC) from 1971-1975? |

Front lights are best match to S2a FC. S2b FC moved them around a bit, and 70s 101 FC had a 3rd permutation and harder body edges without soft curves.. Opening windscreen and possibly screw-fit headlight rings match ZA production (CKD kits from UK 1962-71) mainly for military; Rhodesian FC production not mentioned in my Landie bible, but another possibility although likely to match what they were doing in ZA. Not convinced it was built as an ambulance although it could have been - repainted ex-military seems more likely. So S2a FC, ZA build my best idea. |
