That I did not know. Just recently, I learnt that even Fiat had an assembly plant in Ireland between 1968 and 1984. |

^ The list of things built in Ireland is amazing - includes alongside the big names for instance TVR, Marcos and Mini Marcos, Berkeley, Borgward, Wartburg, DKW, Messerschmitt, Goggomobil, Adler, Heinkel, Panhard, Skoda, Polski, NSU (cars and mountains of bikes), Armstrong-Siddeley, Daihatsu, Alfas and lots of US makes (including Willys and even some 1930s Grahams and Hupmobiles) etc in a long list. See this book review as an appetiser. |

Thanks kindly! So far, I only knew about the usual suspects. Even Nissan and Toyota joined in albeit rather briefly. I also didn't know NSU was active in Ireland although I grew up in the area where they had their headquarters/main plant. |
