It's a Fiat 600.

The other car is a 1956 Dodge Royal.

It is a Fiat 600 (1955-60) or one of its variants.

It could also be the 600D (1960-69), or one of the licence made variants, Seat 600 (1957-63), NSU-Fiat Jagst (1956-59), Neckar Jagst 770 (1960-64), Steyr-Fiat 600, Zastava 600 BN (1955-59) or 600D (1960-63), Abarth 750 (1956-65). The image is not good enough to say more.

There is also a 1960 Chevy Impala flattop sedan and an early 60s Falcon Ranchero in the pic, plus what appears to be a Vespa scooter. The Fiat and the Vespa in a SoCal backyard make me believe this was filmed behind the original shop of none other than Boyd Coddington, who used to import little Fiats and Vespas at the time.

Exclude could be Neckars,Steyr,Zastava or Seat 600s(never exported in USA),that could be only or a 1958 600 or a 1960 600 D imported in USA(US-spec ones featuring bug-eye bigger headlights that pops out by edges of front fenders)

there is also a blue Falcon, possibly a Ranchero, coming thru the alley behind the Chevy.

The 600 is a '58 or '59 with different lights for the USA: directional ones under the principal ones, which were much larger. It's interesting to note that both kind of lights were introduced for the Italian and European market in late '59 and late '65, respectively. The absence of vent windows let us know this is not a 600 D.

Continuity error: the Dodge turns into a Cadillac and the Fiat into a notchback sedan - /vehicle_61012-Cadillac-Series-62-1950.html

Could this be the same Fiat at /vehicle_60988-Plymouth-Belvedere-1958.html ?

The notchback sedan is a Fiat 1100. Even more alarmingly, the Sunbeam Rapier seems to have turned into a Standard Companion estate car.
