I'm not sure. But what I am sure of is that it was originally the '64 Imperial used by the bad guys of the week who want to steal Mr. Mason's weather control equipment. Then when they device starts a fire in the trunk, they ditch the car and send it down a hill. Isis comes along to put the fire out, and the '64 Imperial suddenly becomes this '65 Imperial. |

Is it a scale model? Something doesn't look right. |

No CGI in 1975 |

According to this article, CGI (albeit primitive) has been around since the 1960s. https://www.studiobinder.com/blog/what-is-cgi-meaning-definition/ |

Maybe, but a cheesy TV series from the 1970s would never be able to afford computer generated graphics. This was done with old fashioned special effects. |

Special effects evolved into CGI |

CGI looked nothing like this in 1975. Have you ever seen the Money For Nothing music video? That was considered groundbreaking and that was in 1985. Here's what 1970s CGI was like. |

Night cub said that CGI was not around in 1975. The article I posted says it has been around since the 1970s (albeit not as sophisticated as what one is used to in 2024). The only point was that they were around since the 1970s. |

night cub could have said: "No CGI in 1975 comparable to subject image", but I figured you were clever enough to know that's what the conversation was about. It's a bit like those stories on Reddit: "this was back in the 90s, so before cellphones" - everyone knows the cellphone was already invented, but not many people had them - hence "before cellphones". |

They used tape, how would you use CGI on that? Any tricks like rear projection were analog. |

@chicomarx - It was meant as a joke. Yes the original series used special effects. The series that came after Voyager use CGI |

![]() Anyway, I'm starting to think this might be another Crown. I don't have proof either way, other than I suspect the Crown was more common back then. |
