It's a 1966 model with its 1300 badge. |

Flat engine lid and Volkswagen script = 1967, no? |

Yes but the crease can't be seen here anyway, it's underexposed. And it's flat, even further down, where 1967 makes a bulgier appearance with the number plate ending up near vertical. Both go very deep, hiding behind the bumper, but the lower part of 1967 is flat much like the 1968+ models. So the 1967 inner bumper bar ends usually have a slope to make room for the decklid. (There are 1967 models out there with straight bars, my guess is the one-year-only 1967 style is rather hard to get so you just make it fit) Badge seems to continue around the edge, but it will be the shorter 1300 badge - the longer 1967 badge ends close to the center. 1966 US Sedan 1300 had a 1300 badge /i033188.jpg, where 1967 US Sedan had a VOLKSWAGEN badge /i300021.jpg With this view, my vote goes to 1966 |

All right then, I felt I had the right to raise the doubt, being that the old image was somewhat poor. |
