Il est vrai qu'elles ont eu leur pays en automatique à cause du nom "Chrysler". Pour les Horizon (y compris les Dodge et Plymouth) j'ai mis France vu que ça a été conçu par Chrysler France. Il me semble que c'est pareil pour la 180. Même si certaines ont été construites hors France, ça reste une voiture française à la base (pareil pour les Clio/Twingo/chéplusquoi faites en Turquie/chéplusoù). It is true, as I remember, that the Chrysler 180 design was essentially from France, that happened also to be built elsewhere (including the UK). |

Firstly, the C180 was designed by Rootes chief designer Roy Axe in the UK. It was supposed to end up as a Humber Hawk with a 2.5 V6 engine. Chrysler decided to bodge it together with Simca parts, (they thought it was pointless having two large cars in Europe and they also owned Simca who had also been working on a large car design) and use the Chrysler or Chrysler/Simca brand only. Secondly, although it was thought of in the UK as a kind of British car, as it was sold along side Chrysler owned Rootes vehicles in UK dealerships, it was never built in the UK. It was built in France by Simca until the mid '70s and then by Barreiros in Spain after that. Sold ok in Spain, (mainly the diesel [Spanish market only] as taxis), but bombed everywhere else.
