WS 7777 was Edinburgh June 34 to July 36.

4th thumb is Kenmore on Loch Tay, Perthshire. I think the other thumbs are Luss on Loch Lomond, later used as the setting for Take the High Road.

The first registration issued by Edinburgh Burgh Council in 1936 was WS7259. If this was allocated in the normal run of things, the car was therefore registered within the early months of 1936. The 3.5 litre engine was sold until 1937 although the 4.25 litre engine was available from March 1936.

Bearing in mind the length of time taken to build and fit the coachwork, it seems unlikely to have the larger engine, but the car does not appear in the BDC list so I am not certain.

Coachwork next.

jfs: I edged in that direction, but I couldn't find an example with exactly the same rear shape. That said, it could be a one-off!

Thanks, not an easy one, is it? Strange that it’s not been in the BDC.
