GM-style waist mounted tail lights. On the Pontiac that year they were on the fenders. |

Some had these taillights, like this one, but probably aftermarket. Really fuzzy image, but probably another '39 Chevy upon brightening it up. |

High taillights and right side fuel filler on a 1939 Pontiac indicates a Canadian Arrow model that used the Chevrolet body: Link to "www.flickr.com" The American 1939 Quality Six also had a right side fuel filler but with low taillights; all other 1939 American Pontiacs had left side fuel filler. Having established that... yeah, this car is most likely a Chevrolet. |
