I think most 50s/60s UK convertibles offered this half-open configuration - from posh coachbuilts to mainstream so this Mighty Minx is not a pioneer. jfs can probably comment better than me, but Ford Consuls/Zephyrs spring to mind. On practical grounds, it probably only works at low speeds with a fabric roof, otherwise you could blow the rear window out?? Did Porsche encounter this with their first (floppy window) Targas?? |
