Good find - I was stumped. Cannot find a suitable match for a '29 though - how about a 1928?: https://reedbrothersdodgehistory.com/1914-1920-2/1928-dodge-brothers-six/

Don't worry - I was exactly where you were:

Basically think of it as a '92 Golf II/'92 Golf III case. I'm not entirely sure, but I think another thing that set the early 29s from the 28s apart was the square logo as opposed to the round on the 28 in your link.

Yes, John. After the introduction of these 1940 automobile in our market were required to have 7 inch round sealed beam headlights fitted. Some customers were buying sealed beam headlights assembly conversion on their older vehicles which it has been grandfathered.

Most I find with this radiator logo are labeled 1928, though. Even if it was a mid-year update I don't think Dodge intended for it to be the next year's model.
Here's another on the site, labeled 1928:

Although a country boy, I now live in the outer ‘burbs of a largish town and only have to drive about 1 mile before I am in a wooded and wild area inhabited by large solidly constructed deer. The most disappointing thing about the modern headlights on my Mercédès is the very sharp cut-off on dipped beam. I’m happy to admit my eyes are not so sharp these days, but the void of blackness that occurs only a short distance in front of the car gives you no chance of stopping within the illuminated distance above about 30mph. The main beam is not so hot either, inviting light flashing from oncoming vehicles as it sprays uncontrolled light rays across the road. So, my slow progress after dark is because I don’t want to be responsible for the death of a wild animal that, up to that point, had done me no harm.

I am living at the semi-rural area where some animals do cross the road. I have seen them already dead on the road :(

one of my friends mom used to live in a similar " semi-wooden " area and actually had the opposite experience : a deer jumped out of the woods while she was driving and hit the car in the doors, thankfully on the right side..
