Ingo ◊ 2011-05-08 19:14	Hmm, I miss the plastic covered wheel arches, the red stripes as bumper-trims and the badge in the grille. The grille itself means nothing, it was an extra option, available aftersales market and at VW directly. The original was made by KAMEI, but there were other makers, too. Wasn't there a special edition, all in white? "Snow" or so? IIRC, there was such a trim-line not only for the Cabriolet.
dsl ◊ 2011-05-08 19:30	UK had Golf Match edition from May 85 based on 1.3 with many colour-coded bits, which may fit this one. There was also - for info - the Sept 85 All White edition of 1.8 GTi convertible which lived up to its name.
