Rather a 3 Litre, it has the stubby bootlid. |

Check this out - http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/298/gallery.ehtml (Austin 3 litre) or http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/1963337833/gallery.ehtml (Austin 2200) http://www.landcrab.net/ - 1800s, 2200s and 3-litre. As I recall the bigger engined cars had the longer boot. I had an uncle had a 2200 years ago - it seemed massive. |

They are quite some cars. This boot is too short for a 3 Litre and too long for an 1800, so it must be a 2200? |

http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/images/ado17ausmor_01.jpg It's probably an 1800. The boot looks the right length to me. |

It's a 1800 MkII, with its specific vertical rear lights |

The 1800 in the picture belongs to me, and is a Morris 1800 Mark 2 S. I wouldnt expect any body to know that from the angle of the shot. There was another shot of the vehicles front grill, with the John Simms character as a little boy, playing with a police mans hat.[ This is the picture , the adult Simms has at his flat in 1973.] A very good site. |

1800S as model. Introduced Sept 68 for 69 my. Thin chrome strip on early cars as here, later given thicker trim as /vehicle_419047-Morris-1800S-ADO17-1972.html . |
