There was a Ranger Roundup 2-door wagon, a Ranger Villager 4-door wagon and a Bermuda Villager 4-door wagon |

If only that Mercury would get out of Dodge. All I can tell is that it's not a Roundup. |

Villager was the name. |

How can you tell it's not a Bermuda? |

I am quite sure it is not a Bermuda because the side trim should be just a bit visible on the fender through the Mercury's rear window. I can spot the chrome list of the Villager and Pacer series. Don't you agree ? -- Last edit: 2023-05-17 12:03:11 |

Looked at the scene without the lady blocking the sideflash, and it does appear to be a Villager as there's no trim connecting it. Admittedly it's very hard to be sure in the mainpic, as the windowsill of the Mercury runs just where the potential Bermuda trim would be. The small spot could be one of the screws for the woodgrain trim, which wouldn't stand out in this color, but it might also just be the 'Villager' script. |

There's only one Edsel Roundup listed on the site. Not surprised it's so rare, since who would buy a 2-door station wagon when 4-door variants exist? |

Back in the 50s most US makes offered at least a 2 door wagon. Since 1965 Opel offered both 2 door and 4 door Rekord station wagons and later (with some interruption) the same was duplicated for the Kadett. Ford Taunus, Simca 1100, were other cases of wagons available both in 2 door and 4 door style |
