It's an R-Type Bentley 1952 to 1955. 4566cc Six cylinder Inlet over exhaust engine. You can see the curved radiator and the extended boot lid that prove it is not either a Royce or a Mk VI Bentley. |

Sorry John, but is a Bentley Mark VI Standard Saloon, as the R-type for one did not have covers on the rear mudguards, nor would it have the wheeldiscs shown, which supplied only until early 1951. At he same type the chrome strip on the side came only in 1949. So the safest assumption is 1950. |

Accepted. The boot looks like an R-Type disappearing out of the picture, as there appears to be a distortion you cannot make out the outline of the short tail. I have just carried the laptop into the garage and compared the back mudguard in the picture with the one on my own R-Type and the picture is clearly a Mk 6. |
