I would say this is 1973 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 4-Door Sedan due to thick trim at the rocker panel ![]() |

Nice old TV, that would have probably been worth a lot even in 1986. |

^ Unfortunately not... Way too many of these are still out there and the demand is extremely low - enthusiasts are in the comfortable position of being able to choose their objects and sellers can be happy to find a buyer. Sounds weird, but that's how it actually is over here (I've been collecting vintage tube radios for quite a while, but luckily gave away all my vintage 1950s' TV sets - for free, as nobody wanted them...). I don't know the situation in the US, but people there generally tend to keep even more vintage items than they do here, hence I imagine it's pretty much the same. People do offer them at hazardous prices on ebay etc., but they usually aren't sold at such rates, unless it's some very rare piece or such. Beautiful objects for some, but largely considered outdated technical waste by many. |

In the 1980's, big, old, clunky TVs like this were just junk. |

Circa-1950 RCA Victor 6T65 'Highland' model: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/rca_6_t_65.html Looks like it was in very poor cosmetic condition before it was smashed; they should be dark-colored wood. |
