Not convinced this is 1100 Special - roof looks paint instead of vinyl, and side indicators are round instead of small rectangular - but I would go for 1000 Special. Someone in Paris was offering this dress-up package as we've got similar upgrades here but on a different and slightly older mid-70s-ish example. The 2-tone with side flash curving upwards on rear wing is distinctive. This one looks as if it adds quarterlights and wide arches/sporty wheels to the package.

Any info on who did it?? Doesn't click for any of the UK Mini customisers, so I think French firm.

The quarter light window, the clear sidelights, and especially the red logo on the front fender could identify it as a modified Innocenti Mini 1001, or even a Cooper 1300 from around 1973+

:think: I can't exclude Innocenti idea, but it smells late 70s UK-build base before conversion as a newer example than the other one linked above. On a practical level, using Innocenti doors (from leftover stock??) would be a convenient short cut, instead of having to convert non-quarterlight doors and glass.

But the red badge on the fender is indeed Innocenti export, like those we had on the French market > Link to "www.nancy-mini-shop.com"

I'm more open now to the Innocenti idea after looking at the wipers - Innocenti Cooper 1300 parked like this, UK Mini 1000 Special and the other upgraded example park on the other side. Wipers rarely get switched as it's complicated to do, so could be solid clue.

So 2 possibilities:
1] we stay as we are, with both as UK-based - this one looks newer than the other for condition and details, or
2] this one becomes Innocenti, so despite looking shiny and fairly new is several years old, and the other one which looks shabby and less well equipped in fact becomes newer

More info needed, especially clues on who did the upgrades - presumably Paris dealer/coachbuilder - and whether they started with Innocenti, then continued with UK Minis after Innocenti collapsed??

The Innocenti Minis were always trendy in Paris until today, they were integrated on the British Leyland France range (on the same catalogue), the general public didn't see the difference between the UK, Belgian or Italian made, and could be updated by many local dealers with any UK's style equipment, like the wood panelled dashboard, for example or the big bumpers necessary for the Parisian traffic.
I cannot imagine why the update of a British or Belgian Mini could add Italian round blinkers on the fenders (not mandatory in France, but not forbidden) and still less a specifically Innocenti logo, a rare item and not especially popular... barely noticeable.
