They should have sent this to Europe, especially the convertible. Instead, they sent stuff like the Pacer |

In Europe it actually existed (altough not in this 2 door style) as the Renault 9. Tha Pacer was unsuccessfully but much more unusual and more interesting in my opinion. |

I know the french sedan 9 but I'm only talking about this and the convertible. I know there's a small cult following for the convertible in France where people import them and restore them. As for the Pacer well, not very popular in Europe in its day was it? |

I am sorry: I was forgetting the convertible. Probably because I don't like the ones of the 80s, but you are right. It could have been successfull, even though not as the (much prettier in my view) Peugeot 205 CT/CTI. |
