antp ◊ 2006-01-02 21:30	I would say that it is the 3rd one (Typ 1HXO, like the Golf 3). The 4th one (Typ 1J, like the Golf 4) is the one called Bora in Europe.

This one has 10th digit X so it's a 99: https://abetter.bid/en/36926268-1999-volkswagen-jetta_wolf Looks like the first half of '99s were 1Hs and the second half A4s. A4 commenced production September 98, but I found a 1H built 1 month later! (3VWPA81H3XM251758)
