much modified GMC CCKW..at first it looks taller than a GMC..but thats due to the low camera angle..its not a non-winch CCW..its just a humble postwar modded CCKW, new lights,grille,mirrors, upper rear body,winch removed,non original front hubs..looks like the spare tyre has been repositioned from under the body to behind the cab, in a drop down arm. |

Not convinced this is a GMC. The fender height is too low relative to the grille. Too much curve to the fender itself even from this "low camera angle". The top of the headlight should be about the top of the grille/hood line. I think this is a modified International M-5H-6. The fender line in the lower 1/3 of the grille, more curved fender, open cab with 1/2 doors and the spare tire stowed between the cab & bed on lwb models. Larger tire size than the GMC adds to the taller look and the more blunt nose of the hood which opened butterfly style. Comments? |
