First car looks like a 28/31 Ford Model A, probably a local sanctioning body racing organization. |

These cars look like SoCal 'Jalopy' class racers. They were modified 20's to 30's era car that ran mostly stock based chassis and engines. Often they were equipped with truck axles, wheels and tires. Flat head V8 engines were most often used and as Ford went to a flat head V8 in 32 and made millions of them they were cheap and most popular. |
