 "Alfa UK approached Prodrive in 2007 to revitalise the pretty but uninspiring Brera coupe. At a reputed cost of £1m, they reworked 500 cars (split between the 2.2 4-cylinder and 3.2 V6) sold in 2008 for £24,950 (2.2) or £28,450 (V6) - £1,450 more than standard. Changes included bespoke Bilstein dampers and stiffer Eibach springs, dropping the Brera by 10mm, new wheels saving a couple of unsprung kilos a corner, and Brembo brakes. The 3.2's Q4 4wd was removed, saving 100kg. The results were little short of transformative .... " from here.
