Yet another company joins the already-saturated ugly and pointless SUV market. -- Last edit: 2008-02-05 01:00:27 |

in fact is based on the mitsubishi outlander, the last one and the peugeot 4007(if i remember well)is the same car...we need more 4x4's as the defender and jeep wrangler. |

We don't any need any more 4x4s on the market (or on the roads!). If you want a REAL offroader (to actually go offroad), one of the those two would be fine, not all this family-orientated "soft-roader" crossover crap. -- Last edit: 2008-02-05 13:39:59 |

I'm going to get lynched here: Except if you're visiting your grandma and she lives deep in the woods, miles away from any road, you don't need an offroader AT ALL. The only other reason is that you have your fun raising dust or mud, and it's a rather childish one. |

I totally agree. And if you really need an off-roader with a double chevron on it, a 2CV will do perfectly in most cases... |

No: most of the members here agree with the fact that except in small cases of people who actually go offroad with their SUV, these vehicles are not useful at all |

If that's what you like to do, buy an old Landy or something and take it out it on weekends. Don't buy a bleeding Range Rover or Volvo XC90 when 99% of the time you're only going to drive to work or the shops or take the kids to school. Most people who own shiny new SUVs never go offroad in them anyway. |

Yes, most of us have sense, although there are a few people who still like them soley for the image, they lack taste -- Last edit: 2008-02-05 16:18:52 |

yes, we need more offroader vehicles on off-road and no more suvs like this one i know what u mean, i live on a place full of nature and great landscapes, and the best way to enjoy them is in a real 4x4. |

And what is a real 4x4? At least a Landrover or a Landcruiser. Perhaps the japanese rivals of the Landcruiser, too, like Nissan Patrol. Naturally the Unimog is real hard stuff, too. Lifestyle-bullshit like a BMW X 5, Audi Q 7 or Mercedes ML you can forget to use offroad. They will not make it. A 4x4-car is a serious offroader, if you can make a Sahara-crossing with it. Or when it survives 30 years driving on African dust- and gravel-roads. |
