In episode 5.09 "Chasing Bobby", Hank's truck is finally starting to die. Until now he has been driving around in a 1990s Ford Ranger, but in this episode his truck seems much older, and he says he has had it for 20 years. It finally breaks down at railway crossing and gets hit by a train. After this episode Hank buys a new Ford pickup truck. |

I wonder what happened to the 1993-1997 Ford Ranger? |

They probably didn't think of this story until that episode, and had to retcon his truck. -- Last edit: 2012-07-23 08:18:46 |

Like most people are saying, it was originally an early '90s ranger. But in this episode it was a mid '80s model. It was also a manual transmission in this episode, while the other one was an automatic. It was sometimes shown with a floor shifter, but all automatic Rangers had column shifters. |

He traded a Maverick for this, making the joke to Peggy not to divorce him. She should have. |

1986 was the first year for the Ranger SuperCab, making this a 1986-1988 model. |
