Another S-serise, same generation; you are correct. This is a top level Saturn SL-2 with full width tail lamps, the twin cam engine, and body colored bumper covers. The SC-1 did not have full width tail lamps.

my brother had a SL-1 with the full tail lamp, a 1992 to be exact. if i am correct the difference between the 1&2 were the motors-SL-1 having a single cam 1.9l and a SL-2 having a twin cam 1.9l

Is that a Arkansas plate on the SL2?

Maybe the tallight differences were different years? The full-width ones might be newer?

I never saw an SL-1 with the full width treatment. Hmmm. Well, the little text on the right side of the tail lamps indicates that it has the twin cam so I think we should still stick with SL-2.

It's an SL-2, color keyed bumpers, alloys and slightly better 2.0L Twin-Cam I4. What's interesting is the "Saturn" name on the bumper which looked to have been colored in, as far as I know no SL-2 or, SC-2 for that matter had that sort of treatment, but, don't quote me on it - I can't say for sure. SL-2s and, the SC-2s had the full taillight treatment eventhough the trunk area never actually lit. Also, it seemed important to announce the fact the car was a Twin-Cam, which on SLs was on the right side of the back on the lights and in black lettering.

Yes, it's common to see block letters built into the bumpers colored in. I see it a lot on '99 to '04 Mustangs.
