Contrary to what its promotional paper and IMDb suggest, this is not so much a crime melodrama as it is a romantic quasi-comedy. Very 'B' by any standard. Also the movies studios have money for... Contrary to what its promotional paper and IMDb suggest, this is not so much a crime melodrama as it is a romantic quasi-comedy. Very 'B' by any standard. It's notable mainly as an early screenwriting effort by Dalton Trumbo.
