Has a look of a 'bathtub' Nash, maybe 1951? |

Good idea, but I am not sure. The wheel arch looks fine, the rest of the bodywork, too. But the side trim does not match Nash' (Nashes?) from '51 or the years around, at least none that I found. Also the bumper looks strange. More like from a '52 Cadillac with this recessed middle part and the dagmars. Still a bit of a puzzle to me. |

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic (it's not going to help ID the car) ... but after seeing that car hanging off that ramp, a light-bulb went off in my head: I saw an article about this house in a Google books scan of an old Popular Mechanics article. The article featured a Los Angeles-area home, built by some inventor, that was designed to help survive after an H-bomb attack: Apparently space was at such a premium, they resorted to this cantelevered "driveway." Can you imagine pulling your car onto it? The house also featured a bomb shelter accesssible only by swimming pool! You can see the whole article here, but do yourself a favor: bypass all the ads and jump directly to page 109: http://books.google.com/books?id=8NsDAAAAMBAJ&printsec=frontcover |

You were on the right track 17 years ago, it's a 50-52 Cadillac: https://designyoutrust.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/10-17.jpg https://images.wsj.net/im-164170/?width=700&height=467 I suppose not enough visible for Lateef or anyone else to make a closer assessment? |

Stumbled upon this gallery: Link to "www.shutterstock.com" They seem to be different cars actually. Subject and first image is a 1951 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible. The far-away shot appears to show a 1950 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe. |
