Forget the taxi idea provincial or otherwise, just a standard saloon. The 'possibly the same' in the garage has a prominent Austin (or Austin Six I think) script on the radiator not seen in the main picture. Two different cars more likely? The car in the main picture could be a large six-light saloon with suicide rear doors from the railway station and phone box scenes. |
