It really looks like "DODGE" to me. I don't think Neons of this generation were badged as Plymouths. There are no Chrysler Neons, at least not in the U.S. market. I don't know about places like Canada. |

In Europe the Neon was only sold under the name Chrysler (probably to be lifted up by the connection with Mercedes). |

Neon was branded as Chrysler in Europe since the first generation, mostly because Chrysler has not been using Dodge or Plymouth brands in Europe for quite some time (Dodge had some history in Europe, but Plymouth remained virtually nonexistent throughout its life). For some time there were also "Chrysler Neons" in Canada after Plymouth's demise, I believe. Grille and badging on door appear the same as Australian delivered Neons, which were also only sold as Chryslers. If this is a US Neon it has to be a Plymouth, as Bravada says Dodge had the unique signature grille, but on this link is a Plymouth and the door badging is a different script http://images.automotive.com/reviews/images/00plymouthneon.jpg |

I agree that it's a Chrysler but I would like to point out that the 2000-2001 Dodge/Plymouth Neons have exactly the same grill. Dodge gave it a new one in 2002. Here's a 2000-2001 Dodge Neon: Link to "www.cardomain.com" And here's a 2000-2001 Plymouth Neon: Link to "www.cardomain.com" No difference with these although the RT version of the Dodge, I believe, has the cross-haired grill. |
