Or a fantasy of it. Chiyo (the kid on the backseat) is going to study in United States after graduating from the high school. One of the other girls, Osaka (the girl with a weird imagination) says that he will be immediately kidnapped, because Chiyo's parents are rich. And this is the imaginatory picture of that kidnapping.

This entire sequence is supposed to take place in America (pretty clearly in some sort of version of NYC) Nothing about it indicates it's any different than an plain old W202
