Stronghold, I have a problem with this one ... I know it says Popular and has the later tail-lights, but it has the grille and, more significantly, the smaller rear window of the earlier (1954-6) Anglia. ![]() |

I agree chris40, but I have a feeling that the 100e Anglia was renamed 'New Popular' in its last couple of years of production, presumably in order to seperate it from the 105e. -- Last edit: 2007-09-26 09:36:10 |

All true, greybear. But it had the same grille and larger rear window as the later 100E Anglias: http://www.ncvc.org.uk/images/vehicles/MCC1%20_100E.JPG ... and the 'Popular' badge was on the boot-lid, not above the number-plate. This is a lightly 'customised' 1954-6 Anglia: to me, the rear window is conclusive. |

I can't argue with any of that! |

With that grill, Anglia 100E (and not Popular) for me also. ![]() |

I agree with Ford Anglia 100e but the model year should probably be changed to '56 as the style of rear lamps with small round reflector seen on this car were introduced in oct '55 and continued to oct'57 . |
