In SA they were first introduced in 1972 as Chevrolet LUV, and the first Isuzu pickup to carry Isuzu badge was built locally at the Kempston Road plant in Port Elizabeth in 1978. Indeed, it's a Chev. In SA they were first introduced in 1972 as Chevrolet LUV, and the first Isuzu pickup to carry Isuzu badge was built locally at the Kempston Road plant in Port Elizabeth in 1978.
